This beautiful Toki Pendant has been carved from New Zealand pounamu (greenstone/ jade) by Kerry Thompson.
The title of this Toki is "Protection". The long toki blade is symbolic of hard work, while the design of the hammerhead shark on the toki blade represents power. Together, they embody someone who works hard to provide and protect family and friends.
Kerry has been carving for over twenty-five years and has established his position as one of New Zealand’s leading Māori artists. In 1992 he was a jade tutor for the Whangaroa Trust in Kaeo, North of Auckland.
Kerry works with many materials, including cattle bone, whale bone, mother of pearl, pounamu, wood, silver, semi-precious stones, wood glass and print making.

Online orders are dispatched Monday to Friday.
Allow 3 - 5 business days for delivery within New Zealand (please allow an extra business day for South Island and Rural addresses).
Once your order has been collected by our courier, you’ll be notified via email and provided a tracking number. All orders/parcels are labelled as a “signature required” courier service for security purposes.
*Our standard shipping excludes PO Boxes, Waiheke island, Great Barrier island, Chatham island and Stewart island.
