Mānawatia a Matariki!
Māori believe that the various stars of Matariki have a connection to particular parts of the environment, to weather and to cultural beliefs and practices. These candles represent the nine stars of Matariki, celebrating the connection we have to the rays of starlight that come from this cluster.
With nine unique scents to reflect the characteristics of each star, this limited edition box set offers a delightful sensory experience and makes for a memorable gift.
Based in Waikato, Nth Island, Wiks Candles is a business based on whānau values and a commitment to sustainable practices that acknowledge Papatuānuku (Earth Mother).
Each Wiks Candle is made from eco-friendly soy wax which is clean burning, biodegradable, long lasting and provides a great scent throw. Each candle is hand-poured with every effort made to ensure the best burn and consistency from each candle.
Wiks also commits to a kaupapa of normalising te reo Māori (Māori language) in the home, and sharing matauranga Māori (Māori knowledge).

Store Pick Up allows you to order online and pick up your order in-store, without incurring any delivery fees.
Your order will be ready the next business day, and our pick up hours are 10AM – 5PM Monday to Friday.

Shipping costs will be calculated and added at checkout.
Online orders are dispatched Monday to Friday.
Allow 3 - 5 business days for delivery within New Zealand (please allow an extra business day for South Island and Rural addresses).
Once your order has been collected by our courier, you’ll be notified via email and provided a tracking number. All orders/parcels are labelled as a “signature required” courier service for security purposes.
*Our standard shipping excludes PO Box, Waiheke island, Great Barrier island, Chatham island and Stewart island.
