Wrap your little one in the loving embrace of BO & KO Alofa Pepe Blanket made from 100% organic cotton. Luxuriously soft and delicately woven, it cocoons your pepe (baby) in warmth and comfort throughout the seasons.
Versatile and practical, it's perfect for draping over the pram, nestling in the cot, or snuggling up on adventures outdoors. This baby blanket is a gentle choice for sensitive skin, free from harsh chemicals and sustainably produced. Its breathable nature ensures optimal comfort, absorbing moisture and regulating temperature.
Inspired by the Pacific Islands, this design draws from traditional Pacific patterns that carry rich cultural meaning. The repeating spearhead pattern symbolises protection, resilience, and the strength of ancestry, wrapping your baby in the same guardianship carried through generations. The 'gogo' (seagull) pattern symbolises guidance and protection, gently leading your little one on their journey. The flower symbolises, beauty and growth while the stars are symbolic of honouring our ancestors who navigated using the night sky and voyaged the oceans giving direction, hope, and the guiding light that leads us home. A woven story of love, identity, and legacy, from the Pacific, with alofa (love).
Ko Ngātokimatawhaorua te waka, Ko Ngāpuhi te iwi, ko Ngāti
Korokoro te hapu, ko Amy toku ingoa.
Ko Tainui te waka, ko Ngāti Hinerangi te iwi, ko Ngāti
Tokotoko te hapu, ko Dayna toku ingoa.
"BO" represents Amy's pēpi (baby) 'Beau', and “KO” represents Dayna's pēpi 'Koree'. They are of Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Hinerangi, and Samoan descent.
BO & KO Baby is a pakihi (business) made up of two māmā (mothers) Amy and Dayna, two tāne (partners) and their four tamariki (children).
BO & KO Baby was created through the directors Amy and Dayna's shared passion to immerse their own tamariki (children) in their cultures. Their whānau is the reason BO &
KO Baby came to fruition and they uphold the intention to help other whānau do the same in celebrating their heritage.
Bo & Ko strives to aid the revitalisation of Te Ao Māori and Pacific culture. They also use natural fibers where possible for their Organic Cotton Blankets, Cotton and Bamboo Wraps and they only use recyclable packaging.
